Final Cut Construction is a second generation family owned and operated business established in 1992 by Andre Vernon. The business was created to sub contract finish carpentry to General Contractors Rebuilding homes after the 1989 Berkeley and Oakland hills fire storm.
After completing construction projects Final cut would enter into ongoing maintenance service contracts with several clients. We have done maintenance and construction work for some clients for more than a decade. FCC developed an interest in green building science around 2006 and became a certified Green Contractor. Andre previously worked with Richmond Build teaching disadvantaged youths and adults re-entering the work force Carpentry and Green Building skills as well.
Final Cut began to expand the business by contracting with local Cities residential rehabilitation dept’s completing dozen of remodels and additions for homeowners in the cities of Berkeley and Oakland through these programs. The business also provided service for contractors as well as private home owners and real estate investors. At times managing several projects at once with several different crews.
